on May 15, 2024 Here are some more tea recipes: Ginger Green Tea, Hibiscus Tea, Sumac Tea, Pineapple Ginger Tea, and Thai Iced Tea. I like Indian milk teas like Masala Chai, Adrak Wali Chai, or Lemongrass Chai, but I can only drink a small cup once a day. Instead, I like to sip various green, herbal, or fruit tea flavors throughout the day. I drink them chilled in summer and piping hot in winter. This apple and cinnamon tea is my recent favorite.
About This Recipe
Apple and Cinnamon Tea is a refreshing beverage that combines the fruity, sweet, and slightly tart flavors of apples with cinnamon’s warm, spicy taste. Depending on the type of tea used as a base (like black or green tea), some may also note a hint of earthiness and mild astringency. The flavor is usually comforting and reminiscent of fall or winter due to the warming cinnamon spice. It is often consumed for its potential health benefits, including its antioxidant properties and ability to aid digestion. Read more about its health benefits Here. Enjoy it hot or iced.
Storage Suggestions
Leftover tea can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat and serve. However, you can use any variety of apples that are easily available to you. Cinnamon Sticks – Do not use cinnamon powder, as it will seep into the ready tea even after you strain it. Tea – I used loose black tea, but you can also use black tea bags. Sweetener – Use any sweetener of your choice. You can add other spices like cloves, nutmeg, or ginger for additional flavor complexity. Bring 5 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat in a large pot. Once the water is boiling, add the apple slices and two cinnamon sticks. Sweeten the tea with your preferred sweetener to taste. Serve hot and enjoy! Tip – Garnish the tea with apple slices and cinnamon sticks.
