About Banana And Cinnamon Smoothie
Banana Cinnamon Smoothie is a delicious and healthy way to start your day. This smoothie is made with fresh bananas, Medjool dates, almond milk, yogurt, and ground cinnamon. It’s a great source of protein and fiber, and it’s also low in calories. The Banana and cinnamon smoothie is vegetarian, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and can be made vegan. This smoothie is perfect to serve for a quick breakfast or as an afternoon snack. Make sure to freeze the bananas for a few hours to make a creamy smoothie. Medjool Dates are loaded with nutrients and give the smoothie its natural sweetness. If Medjool dates are unavailable, use any variety of seedless dates. Cinnamon – Banana and cinnamon pair very well together. Use best quality ground cinnamon for the best flavor. Others – You will also need vanilla extract, Greek yogurt, and milk. I used whole milk, but feel free to use any milk of your choice.
2 large peeled, sliced, and frozen bananas 2 Medjool dates (pitted) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ cup Greek yogurt 1 cup whole milk (full-fat milk)
Tip – If the frozen bananas are too hard, then thaw them for 10 minutes. Blend until smooth. Add some more milk if the smoothie is too thick for your liking. Check for sweetness and add some sweetener (honey, maple syrup, etc) if needed. Pour the smoothie into 2 serving glasses. Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top and serve immediately.
