Last Friday, I made this super delicious cocktail, and everyone just loved it. It was simple, and we could easily churn glass after glass. I also realized that we could have done some pre-prep, making the process even easier. So, if you are throwing a party and want something interesting to serve, this blueberry cocktail is your jam. I have also mentioned how to make it for a crowd in the post below. Check it out!

About Blueberry Mojito

Blueberry Mojito (pronounced Muh-hee-toh) is a simple and refreshing cocktail drink that will surely steal the limelight at your drinks table. This fruity take on a classic mojito recipe, a traditional Cuban drink, uses fresh or frozen blueberries, mint leaves, lime juice, white rum, and club soda. The best part is that you can also make it virgin (non-alcoholic). Blueberry Mojito might sound summery, but you can make it year-round using frozen blueberries. Just thaw a bag and use it to make this minty and refreshing cocktail for your backyard parties, get-togethers, and baby shower parties, or enjoy it on lazy days by the pool. My recipe sometimes turns out blue and sometimes purple, depending on the color of the blueberries. But whatever the color is, the taste is always delicious. Try to buy the blueberries from a farmers market for the best taste. Club Soda – Add club soda (soda water) for that fizz. You can replace it with sparkling water. White Rum – Traditionally, white rum is used to make Mojitos. Use any good quality and reasonably priced white rum to make this drink. I mostly use Bacardi Carta Blanca to make this white rum cocktail, but Appleton or Havana Club Añejo Blanco is also great. Other Ingredients – You will also need granulated white sugar, fresh mint leaves, freshly squeezed lime juice, and ice cubes to make this blueberry cocktail. You can replace sugar with simple syrup. Garnish this perfect cocktail with mint sprig, lime slice, or wedges. Note – This beverage tastes great with blueberries, but you can use other berries like raspberries, blackberries, or strawberries. Kiwi fruit is also an excellent replacement for blueberries. Other herbs like fresh basil or rosemary can be used instead of mint. Muddle them using a cocktail muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until nicely crushed. Tip: If you don’t like the skin coming into your mouth, you can also puree the berries in a blender. Pass the puree through a mesh strainer and add it to the serving glass. Now add 10-12 fresh mint leaves to the glass and crush some more using the muddler. Muddling the mint leaves will help release their flavor. Add the following ingredients to the glass and stir well using a tall spoon or a drink stirrer until the sugar is dissolved.

2 fl oz (60 ml) white rum 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice

Note – You can skip adding rum to make a virgin blueberry mojito (non-alcoholic). Top the glass with club soda until almost full. Keep some space for ice cubes and garnishing. Add a few ice cubes. Garnish the drink with extra blueberries, sprigs of mint, and lime slices or lime wedges. Serve immediately.
