Bread Gulab Jamun Recipe
Yesterday my long term wish came true .I always wanted to have a own domain name for my blog and finally I received it. I am really really excited about this. So to celebrate this special occasion I am delivering you this awesome recipe. The cool thing is, it is really hard to find difference between this and the normal jamuns. I made this couple of weeks back and my little sister had this and she liked it so much, actually she couldn’t find any difference between this and those normal jamuns. About Bread Gulab Jamun
Delicious gulab jamun made using bread and milk. White bread slices are soaked in milk and shaped into small balls. These are deep fried and soaked in sugar syrup till soft and spongy. If you have a sweet craving and need something sweet instantly you can whip up this goodness..It is so simple to make and of course no hard to eat. This is made with bread, you can use up any leftover bread slices to make this yummy jamuns. You can make this for parties or for kids, this hardly take us anytime to make but the result is pretty impressive.

How to Make Bread Gulab Jamun Recipe
Preparing Jamun Dough
Cut off the rims of the bread pieces. Cut into pieces. Take it in a blender and make it into a breadcrumbs. Take the breadcrumbs in a bowl. Add in milk powder and mix well. Now slowly add in milk and make a soft dough.
Shaping Jamun
Take small portion of the dough and roll between your palms to create a smooth ball. Set aside in a plate. Make all the dough into small balls.
Frying Bread Gulab Jamun
Now heat oil for deep frying. You can even fry this in ghee. Drop balls in hot oil and use a stick or a chopstick and keep mixing it so the balls get even colour. Fry the balls till golden in colour. Drain and set aside.
Sugar Syrup for Jamuns
Now let’s Make sugar syrup by taking sugar and water in a sauce pan. Bring i to a boil. Add lemon juice and boil for 4 to 5 mins. Boil it until it reaches sticky stage. Take a spoonful of syrup and put it over a plate, once it is cooled rub it with your fingers it should feel slightly sticky. Once the syrup reaches sticky stage, add cardamom powder and mix well. your syrup is done.
Soaking
Now add your fried jamuns into the syrup and simmer for 2 mins. Now cover the pan with a lid and let it rest for at least 1-2 hours before serving. Serve with ice cream or on its own.

Tips & Tricks
Using milk powder is optional, but it enhances the taste and texture. Use white bread for best texture. Add milk little at a time to make the dough. Don’t pour all at once. The dough has to be soft, hence the bread jamun will be soft. Make the dough soft so there will be no cracks while rolling the jamun. You can add saffron in syrup for best taste. You can fry the jamuns in ghee or oil.
