Traditionally, this dessert is made using wonton wrappers, which are cut into thin strips, but I used plain Hakka noodles to make the process easier. Serve Darsaan as a dessert after a Chinese-style meal, along with vanilla ice cream for a yummy treat. You will need cornstarch (cornflour) to coat the noodles and any neutral-flavored oil to fry them. For The Sauce – To make the sweet sauce, you will need granulated white sugar, unsalted butter, water, honey, black sesame seeds, white sesame seeds, blanched almonds, and walnuts. To blanch the almonds, soak them in boiling hot water for 10 minutes and then peel their skin. Serve these honey sesame noodles with scoops of vanilla ice cream. Once the water comes to a boil, add 2.5 oz (75 g) of Hakka noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are just done (Al Dente). Do not overcook; otherwise, the noodles will become mushy. Drain the water and spread the noodles on a kitchen towel in a thin layer. Once the oil is hot, deep fry the noodles in 2-3 batches until they are crispy. Drain the fried noodles on a plate lined with paper tissues. Crush them slightly and set them aside. Remove on a plate and keep aside. Once the butter is melted, add 5 tablespoon granulated white sugar and 3 tablespoon water to the pan. Add 4 tablespoon honey and mix well. Add the following ingredients to the pan and gently toss to coat the noodles with the sauce.
