Okkarai recipe
This is one of the traditional recipe which my grandma taught me. I make this recipe often, Amma loves this a lot. She tells me to make this all time when she feels like eating something sweet, which she often does. This is the instant recipe which can be make in less than 20 mins..A perfect sweet for any parties as well as for any functions. Traditionally they make this sweet for Diwali. This is so quick to make and only calls for minimum ingredients..But the taste and flavour of this is maximum.
Ingredients for Diwali Okkarai | Ukkarai
Split Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi paruppu – ½ cup Fine Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu – 1 cup Jaggery / Vellam / Sarkarai – 2 cup Ghee – ½ cup Water – 4 cup Cashews – 3 tbsp (optional)
