Bread Malpua Step by Step
This version tasted so good. It almost tasted like stuffed gulab jamun. I added nuts in this, you can skip it and simply use khoya. This desert taste yummy when served warm..Hubby was just going crazy over this and gulped two of this in a min.
Bread Slices - 6 to 8 slices Milk - ½ cup or as needed Oil or Ghee for Pan Frying
For Filling:
Khoya / Mawa - ½ cup Sugar - 1.5 tbsp Nuts - ¼ cup (I used almonds, cashews, chironji) Ghee - 1 tsp
Sugar Syrup:
Sugar - ¾ cup Water - ¾ cup Saffron a pinch Cardamom Powder - ½ tsp
I used homemade khoya, For Homemade Khoya, Check out traditional version and instant version.. You can use store bought khoya as well. And also instead of using unsweetened khoya, you can use sweet khoya, in which you have to skip the sugar and add nuts alone.
