About Cajun Wings
Made using just 3 ingredients in an oven or an air fryer, Cajun Chicken Wings are a must-try appetizer for game day or movie nights, Super Bowl, family get-togethers, BBQs, or house parties! Cajun wings are Juicy, super crispy, salty, and spicy, and they have the texture of deep-fried, battered wings but with no breading or frying. A win-win, right? These cajun spiced wings are a copycat version of Wingstop Louisiana Rub Wings. But if you ask me, I would say that these homemade ones are better in taste and texture. Chicken wings are rubbed with oil and cajun seasoning and baked or air-fried until they are nice and crispy. Serve them with a buttery hot sauce, blue cheese dressing, or any other dipping sauce you prefer. Here are some more appetizer recipes that you may like

Ingredients
Chicken Wings – You can grill the whole wings or cut them into thirds. I have explained the process of cutting the wings into thirds below. If you are using frozen wings, thaw them completely and pat dry using a paper towel before using. Cajun Seasoning – You can make Cajun Spice Mix at home or get the store-bought one. Cajun seasoning can be replaced with creole seasoning to make these hot wings. Oil – You will need a neutral-flavored cooking oil. You can use light olive oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, etc. For The Spicy Sauce – You will need salted butter, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
How To Make Cajun Wings
Preheat oven or air fryer to 400°F. Pat 2 lbs of chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl or a ziplock bag, add
chicken wings 1 tablespoon oil 3 tablespoon cajun seasoning
and toss to coat completely. Tip – Adding a pinch of baking powder at this stage makes the wings extra juicy. Try it!
Cook In An Oven
Set a wire rack (preferably a nonstick rack or lightly greased) over a large baking sheet. Arrange the wings on the wire racks in a single layer. If the wings do not fit on the wire rack, bake them in batches. Place the baking sheet in the middle rack of the oven and bake the wings until cooked through and the skin is crispy (20–25 minutes). For extra crunch, broil under the broiler on high for 2-3 minutes. Watch carefully to make sure wings don’t burn or over-crisp.
Cook In An Air Fryer
Place the wings on the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15 minutes at 400°F. Now, pull out the basket, flip the wings over, and let them air fry for another 5 minutes.
Make The Sauce
To make the dipping sauce, melt ¼ cup salted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in ¼ cup hot sauce and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. Serve the crispy chicken wings with the sauce. Note – I like to toss the crispy wings in the sauce instead of serving the sauce on the side. You can try it too.
Serving Suggestions
Serve cajun wings on their own or with my favorite butter hot sauce. Sprinkle some chopped green onions on top for a burst of color. You can also serve these with Boom Boom Sauce, Yum Yum Sauce, or Bang Bang Sauce.
Storage Suggestions
Cover the leftovers with foil and store them in the fridge for about 3 to 4 days. To reheat, place the leftover wings on a foil-lined baking sheet and reheat at 280°F for about 15 minutes. You can also air fry at 280°F for 8-10 minutes to reheat them.
