Elephant Yam Fry
I love yams, for me they taste something like a meat. Have you tried my yam chops, they are addictive. I recently discovered that i have not posted as many yam recipes in this blog. Because we usually have it atleast once a week. There are so many yam lovers out in our house.
Ingredients for Elephant Yam Fry
Elephant Yam / Senaikizhangu - ¼ kg peeled and sliced Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp Tamarind Pulp - 1 tbsp ( Click here for recipe ) Salt to taste Oil - 3 tbsp for pan frying Curry leaves - few springs
For Masala:
Chilli powder - 2 tsp Pepper powder - ½ tsp Turmeric powder / Manjal podi - ½ tsp Coriander powder / Malli podi - 1 tsp Garam masala powder - 1 tsp Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu / Besan - 2 tbsp Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu - 1 tbspWater as needed Salt to taste
This recipe is so easy to make, but it taste so yummy. This is a simple way of frying yam, i have few variations of it, which i will post very soon.
