Instant recipes are always so comforting, since it takes very less amount to cook and you can have your meal from stove to stomach in few minutes..I have a instant wheat dosa recipe in my blog already and this one is going to be a addition to my other recipe..I am sure this is going to be a keeper.
Intro about this Recipe
Maida is a wheat-based white flour from the Indian subcontinent. It is finely milled without bran, refined, and bleached, and resembles cake flour. Maida is widely used in the preparation of fast foods, baked goods such as pastries, bread, various types of sweets, and traditional flatbreads.
Is maida and wheat flour the same thing?
Atta, also known as wheat flour, is a simple milled flour made from whole wheat grains. It is a combination of wheat germ, endosperm, and bran. Maida, also known as refined flour, is made solely from the endosperm of whole wheat grains. Dosa is a thin crepe popular in South India made from fermented rice and lentil batter. Dosas were originally made with only rice, but as time passed, people began to add urad dal / black lentils to give them texture and flavour. When i first came across this recipe, i thought dosa with all purpose flour..Won’t that dosa be so stringy..But i totally agreed with this one, once i tried it..This dosa came out so crispy and yummy. I served it with sambar which we call as tiffin sambar..I will post that recipe so soon. This can be served with any chutney as well.
Ingredients for Instant Maida Dosa Recipe :
All Purpose Flour / Maida : Maida requires more oil or butter when baking or cooking because it is lighter and rises faster, which is why bakers prefer maida to atta. Rice Flour / Arisi mavu :This is a quick and simple way to make dosa. Simply combine rice flour and maida flour with water. Allow the maida batter to ferment before making crisp dosas at home. There is no need for soaking or grinding.
