This is one of the recipe which I wanted to make very badly. We can say this as south india trending recipe. I have made it twice so far, and loved it both the time.
About Japan Chicken Recipe
Japan chicken is roaming all over the internet. It is a popular dish in one of the erode restaurant called Amman mess. Once the dish got its fame, Many restaurant all over tamilnadu started adding this in their menu too. This dish has nothing to do with Japan. It is a fried chicken dish cooked in a white creamy cashew milk sauce with lots of garlic and green chillies. Infact if you want authentic Japan chicken recipe, check this Japanese curry.

Ingredients for Japan Chicken Recipe
1 tbsp Butter 10 cloves Garlic chopped 5 Green chillies slit 2 cups Milk ¼ cup Cashew Powder Salt to taste ½ tsp Sugar 1 tsp White pepper powder 500 grams Chicken (preferably boneless) 2 tbsp All Purpose flour 4 tbsp Cornflour
How to Make Japan Chicken at Home
Fried chicken
Take chicken in a bowl. Add in salt, white pepper powder and mix well. Add cornflour, maida and little water and mix really well to form a thick mass. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop chicken in hot oil and fry till golden brown around 5 to 6 mins. Drain on a paper towel and set aside.
Japan chicken sauce
Now make the sauce. Heat butter in a pan. Add in garlic and saute for few seconds. Add in green chillies and mix well. Pour in milk, cashew powder, salt, sugar and white pepper. Mix well.
Finishing japan chicken
Add in the fried chicken and coat well in the sauce. Let the chicken cook in the sauce for 3 to 4 mins. The sauce will thicken and coat the chicken. Serve hot. Japan Chicken Recipe with Step by Step Pictures

Tips & Tricks
I used bone-in chicken. But boneless chicken is preferred. Instead of cashew powder. You can add badam powder as well. I blend my cashews in a blender jar for few seconds till it is powdered. Green chillies sauted in butter adds so much flavour. So add as much as you want. This dish gets it taste from garlic. So feel free to add as much garlic as you want.
Serving & Storage Suggestions
Japan chicken taste great with plain white rice, but you can serve with fried rice, noodles or as an appetiser. This taste amazing piping hot. So make and enjoy immediately.
