This is gravy which I was talking about. My hubby’s favorite one. My first attempt of cleaning and making of a spicy squid gravy, which turned out sensational. Everyone in my family loved it, I even send a small container for my sister and she loved it a lot. I have another batch of squid lying in my freezer, I am planning to make something different with that. May be it will turn into calamari fries or a spicy squid roast, who knows..I will updates as soon as I am done with that.

I was very much worried when I was making this curry. Since it is my first attempt I have no idea how this will turn out. But as a surprise it came out so good. As an additional note, my hubby gave me a thumbs up for this. I used baby squids for this, which are very tender and succulent. The gravy itself is a simple yet spicy one, I cooked it in a roasted coconut gravy which has the right amount of spicy and sourness which was perfect. Squid Kuzhambu Recipe with Step by Step Pictures
1)Grind Coconut in a blender till coarse. 2)Add it in a dry pan. 3)Dry roast till golden brown. 4)Add in peeled shallots. 5)Add in dry red chillies 6)Add in curry leaves 7)Add in fennel seeds 8)Add in coriander seeds 9)Dry roast for few minutes. Take it in a blender and puree till smooth. 10)Heat coconut oil in the same pan. Add in fenugreek seeds. 11)Add curry leaves and sliced onions. 12)Saute for a min. 13)Add in cleaned squid. 14)Add salt and turmeric powder. 15)Mix well for 2 mins. 17)Add in the ground coconut paste 18)Add water and mix well. 19)Add tamarind paste 20)Mix well. and bring it to a boil. 21)Cover and cook on a low heat till oil separates. 22)Done. 22)Serve
