Kettle Chip Caramel Popcorn
I love this because it’s a treat that everyone both young and old alike will love and it’s perfect for the holidays. Guests need a few treats and snacks to hold them over between meals and this popcorn will have them swooning! It’s easy to make and the hint of salt giving it that salted caramel flavor will leave everyone craving more and asking for the recipe. Make it festive by adding sprinkles or swap out the chocolate for white chocolate – or go all out and add both. You can even leave the chocolate out of the recipe and you’ll still have a totally irresistible caramel popcorn! Try this soon, I mean duh, it has Kettle Brand Chips so it’s got to be good!
Salty Caramel Corn Recipe
This recipe starts with one of my favorite foods—fresh and airy popped popcorn. I recommend using an air pop machine to get that fluffy texture, but you can also make your popcorn kernels on the stove. Avoid using microwave popcorn, as they will be coated in butter and it’ll be harder to get your caramel sauce to coat each kernel. Create your caramel mixture in a large pot on the stovetop, using a candy thermometer to reach the perfect temperature. Mix your kettle chips and cooled popcorn in a large bowl while your homemade caramel corn sauce boils. I made it with my favorite potato chips – Kettle Brand Chips just can’t be beaten! Kettle chips are available in a variety of fun flavors, made with non-GMO ingredients. They have the most irresistible crunch, the perfect amount of salt (especially the Sea Salt flavor that is used in this recipe), and just an unbeatable flavor. Coat popcorn & chips with your caramel then spread onto a prepared baking sheet (cooking spray is your friend). After baking, drizzle it with chocolate and a dash of holiday sprinkles and I’m sure you can imagine all the delicious addictive flavors that will happen! You can add a little more crunch to this mix by adding your favorite type of nut: peanuts, almonds, or pecans would add to your Christmas vibes!
