Come summer, I go crazy about mangoes. And why not? Indian mangoes are truly worth going crazy about. They are so juicy, sweet, and flavorful. I have had mangoes from many countries, but nothing beats the Indian ones. Apart from eating them as is, I try to make every possible variation using this king of fruits. Today, I tried this lemonade flavored with mangoes, which is a great variation of the classic lemonade.

About Mango Lemonade

Mango Lemonade is a refreshing and delicious beverage that combines the sweetness of ripe mangoes, lemon tanginess, and ginger’s subtle heat. It is a tropical twist on the classic lemonade. This unique blend of flavors and aromas creates a beverage perfect for hot summer days or whenever you need a cool and refreshing drink. Lemon Juice – For a refreshing flavor, Use freshly squeezed lemon juice. You can also replace lemon juice with lime juice. Sugar – Adjust according to your taste. You can replace granulated white sugar with coconut sugar, brown sugar, honey, or stevia. Others – To make this mango drink, you will also need fresh ginger, room temperature water, fresh mint leaves, chilled filtered water, and ice cubes. You can replace mint leaves with fresh basil leaves for a taste change. Water can be replaced with coconut water for a taste change. To make a fizzy drink, use club soda or sparkling water. Brew green tea in water and cool it to room temperature. Chill it for a few hours. Use it instead of water to make mango green tea lemonade. Add a splash of white rum, tequila, gin, or vodka to make an adult version.

½ cup granulated white sugar ½ cup room temperature water 1 tablespoon grated ginger

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sugar syrup is slightly thickened. Remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool down for 10 minutes. Strain the syrup using a fine-mesh strainer.

½ cup of mango puree ½ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice sugar syrup

Top with 3 cups of chilled water and mix well. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Add a few ice cubes into tall serving glasses. Pour the lemonade over the ice-filled glasses. Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.
