How to Make Paneer Jalfrezi
What is Jalfrezi?
Jalfrezi is a sort of curry made by frying marinated meat, fish, or vegetables in oil and spices to create a thick, dry sauce. This English phrase comes from the colloquial Bengali word “hālpharezī” The word “jhāl” denotes hot cuisine in Bengali, and parhez means diet- friendly in Urdu/Persian. paneer jalfrezi is a curry dish originating inBengal and popular throughout the Indian subcontinent and beyond. This is my first attempt in trying this yummy dish. I have come across this so many times but never got a chance to try it. Couple days back i was thinking about making a new dish with paneer, suddenly i thought of this. Luckily i had all the ingredients on hand, so i dont have to run for getting ingredients. I made this in few minutes and it was totally yummy. Kasuri Methi leaves / Dried Fenugreek leaves : When compared to celery, dried fenugreek leaves have a slightly bitter and earthy flavour, with a sweet finish akin to maple syrup. Garam Masala Powder: Warmth, sweetness, floral aromas, and a hint of spice from the black pepper are all added by garam masala. It’s meant to be both a fragrant and savoury spice. Lemon Juice : The unique sour taste of lemon juice makes it a significant ingredient in food and beverages.
