Rava Laddu Ingredients
Sooji | Rava - use finest quality sooji you can find. Sooji has to be toasted till golden and aromatic. You can dry toast sooji instead of frying in ghee. Sugar - Depending on your sweetness level, you can add more or less sugar to your taste. You have to use white sugar which doesn’t alter the colour of the laddu. Ghee - pure desi ghee is preferred. If possible use homemade ghee. Cardamom & Cloves - the main flavouring in a rava laddu is cardamom. Sometimes cloves are added, but make sure to use just one or two cloves else it may overpower. Dried Fruits and Nuts - I used a combination of cashews and raisins. Milk - I used milk when shaping laddu into balls. But if you prefer to store this for longer period, you can add more ghee and make laddoo.
