About Cashews Nuts
The cashew tree is a tropical evergreen tree that yields cashew seeds and cashew apple accessory fruit. The tree can reach a height of 14 m (46 ft), but dwarf cultivars with heights of up to 6 m (20 ft) are more profitable, with earlier maturity and higher yields. The cashew seed is commonly regarded as a snack nut (cashew nut) that can be eaten alone, used in recipes, or processed into cashew cheese or cashew butter. The nut, like the tree, is commonly referred to as cashew. Cashew allergies are caused by proteins found in tree nuts, and cooking does not always remove or alter these proteins. Cashews are high in healthy fats, including monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These nuts are also a low-protein source. As a result, they are frequently found in the diets of vegetarians and vegans.
Where did cashews originally come from?
The cashew tree is indigenous to northeastern Brazil. During the late 16th century, Portuguese missionaries introduced it to East Africa and India, where it became abundant at low altitudes near the seacoast. Similar Recipes,
