Ingredients
Espresso – Starbucks makes this iced PSL recipe using shots of espresso but you can use strongly brewed coffee too. Use your Moca Pot, South Indian Filter, or a regular brew machine to brew the coffee. French Press Cold Brew Coffee, Nespresso, or Aeropress coffee also works great in this recipe. Milk – I like to use whole milk (full-fat milk) for a rich and creamy texture but you can use whichever milk you want to. Skim milk or low-fat milk also works great. To make a vegan pumpkin spice latte drink, use plant-based milk (non-dairy milk) like oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, etc. Pumpkin Puree – Use canned or try my homemade Pumpkin Puree recipe. Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend – You can either use the store-bought one or try my homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice recipe. Maple Syrup – Adjust the quantity according to your taste. Other sweeteners like white sugar, brown sugar, honey, or sugar-free options like stevia or monk fruit also work. Whipped Cream – Skip it if watching calories.
How To Make Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte
Add
2 shots espresso (or ½ cup of extra-strong brewed coffee) 1 cup chilled milk 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract 2 teaspoon maple syrup
to a blender. Blend on high speed until everything comes together and becomes frothy. Check for the sweetener and add more if needed. Add 6-8 ice cubes per glass into 2 serving glasses. Pour the coffee over ice. Top with whipped cream (optional) and sprinkle with a pinch of pumpkin pie spice. Serve immediately.
Pro Tips By Neha
For a stronger pumpkin taste, increase the quantity of pumpkin puree. You don’t have to wait for the espresso to cool down. Add it hot or cold; it’s up to you. Make this delicious drink for kids by simply skipping the coffee. Blend the ingredients with ice instead of pouring the coffee over the ice to make a slushy latte. Do not confuse pumpkin puree with pumpkin pie filling. They are generally right next to each other in the grocery store, but the pumpkin pie filling has a lot of added sugar and spices, and the pumpkin puree doesn’t. You want the plain pumpkin puree with no additives. Use leftover pumpkin puree to make drinks like Pumpkin Spice Horchata, Pumpkin Spice Milk, or Pumpkin Pie Spice Martini.
Storage Suggestions
You can store this iced coffee in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 5-6 days. The ingredients will separate when sitting too long, so stir them well before serving.
