About Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte

Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte is a Starbucks copycat drink with a twist on Pumpkin Spice Latte by replacing coffee with chai. Made from scratch, this fall favorite is a beautiful blend of chai tea (Indian milk tea, masala chai), real pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and milk of your choice. It has an utterly cream texture and comforting flavors from the warm spices. This homemade chai latte tastes like Starbucks’ pumpkin spice chai tea – rich, spicy, and perfectly sweet. So next time you crave one, you know it is easy to make at home! This chai tea is nothing close to regular Indian milk tea, but I am sure you will love its distinct taste and aromatic flavors. My homemade pumpkin spice chai latte recipe is vegetarian, gluten-free, and can be easily made vegan. It can be doubled or tripled, too. Ingredients

Milk – I like to make pumpkin chai latte with whole milk (full-fat milk) as it makes the drink rich and creamy, but you can use any milk of your choice. Use skim or low-fat milk to make the drink healthier. Use plant-based milk (dairy-free milk) like almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk, oat milk, etc to make this drink vegan. Chai Tea – Buy any Indian black tea leaves to make this chai Latte. I like to use black tea bags as it makes the process easier, but you can also use loose tea leaves. Pumpkin Puree – Make pumpkin puree at home with fresh pumpkins using my Pumpkin Puree recipe or buy a can. Pumpkin Spice Mix – Make a batch of Pumpkin Pie Spice at home or buy a bottle. Dark Brown Sugar – Use dark brown sugar for a deep caramelized taste. Maple syrup or honey are good alternatives if you want to avoid sugar. Vanilla Extract – Add in the best quality one for the aromatic flavor. For a spicy kick, you can add chai spices like a pinch of black pepper powder, crushed green cardamom pods, and crushed ginger root. You can also add ½ teaspoon of my Chai Masala Powder.
