Tofu Pizza Recipe
I grilled some tofu cubes and topped it over the pizza which made it even more healthier..Tofu naturally has no flavour on its own so I spiced up the tofu pieces to give it a kick as well as flavour.I used Tomato ketchup as pizza sauce but you can use pizza sauce in it. Ingredients for Tofu Pizza
Whole Wheat Pizza Base Tofu – 1 block cubed Thick Curd / Greek Yoghurt-1 cup Chilli powder-1 tsp Garam masala powder-1 tsp Mozzarella Cheese as needed Salt and pepper to taste Oregano-1 tsp Tomato Ketchup or Pizza Sauce as needed Olive oil - 1 tbsp
How to Make Whole Wheat Tofu Pizza Recipe
Marinating Tofu
In a mixing bowl add in cubed tofu, yogurt, chilli powder, garam masala powder, oregano, salt and pepper and mix well. Let this marinate for 30 mins.
Tofu Filling for Pizza
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add in the marinated tofu and leave it alone for 5 mins till the yoghurt evaporates.Make sure to stir in between so it doesn’t stick at the bottom. Once all yoghurt evaporates fry this for 1 min until the sides are seared. Remove this and set aside.
Preheating Oven
Preheat the oven to 500°F / 250°C.
Assembling the Pizza
Now take the pizza dough out and roll it thinly.Lift the dough and put it in an oiled baking tray. Fold the edges so that you get the perfect rim.(See picture for more detail). Now spread ketchup on top evenly.Sprinkle half of the cheese over this and add prepared tofu cubes over this. Sprinkle the remaining cheese.
Baking the Pizza
