About Triple Berry Oat Smoothie
Triple Berry Oat Tropical Smoothie is a delicious and nutritious way to start your day! It’s packed with three kinds of berries, oats, and yogurt, perfect for on-the-go mornings. Just blend and go! The smoothie is deliciously thick and creamy, vibrant purple, and has a sweet and tart flavor from the berries. The oats keep you full for longer, making it the perfect breakfast. You can also serve it for evening snacks or pre or post-workout snacks.
Variations
Use any berries you like! You can also change their proportion as per your liking. Cranberry Juice thins the smoothie a bit. You can replace it with other juices, such as pineapple, orange, or mango juice. Coconut water is also a great option. Oats add healthy fibers to the smoothie and make it thicker. You can use rolled oats (old-fashioned oats) or instant oats. Don’t use steel-cut oats, as they will create a chunkier texture. Yogurt – I used plain yogurt, but you can also use Greek yogurt. Use plant-based yogurt to make this recipe vegan. Banana adds creaminess to this smoothie. Tip – If the berries are frozen for a long time, thaw them for 10 minutes for easy blending. Add the following ingredients to the jar of a high-speed blender.
¼ cup frozen blueberries ¼ cup frozen raspberries ½ cup frozen strawberries ½ cup cranberry juice ½ cup rolled oats (or instant oats) ½ cup plain yogurt 1 large banana (sliced)
Blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add some milk. Check for sweetness and add some sweetener (honey, maple syrup, agave nectar, etc.) if needed. Pour into 2 tall serving glasses and serve immediately. Note – Add a few ice cubes to each glass if you like your smoothie super chilled. Swap out the cranberry juice for orange juice, coconut water, apple juice, or pineapple juice. Add a scoop of protein powder or whey protein for an extra boost. Skip adding the liquid and make a thick smoothie. Transfer it to a bowl and top it with your favorite toppings (think fresh berries, granola, shredded coconut, nut butter), etc) to make a smoothie bowl. It will be even more filling and wholesome.
