Ingredients for varan
Toor Dal / Tuvaram Paruppu / Split Pigeon Peas – 1 cup Onion-1 chopped Tomato-1 large chopped Garlic-6 cloves chopped Ginger-1 inch piece chopped Green chilli-3 chopped Cumin seeds / Jeerakam-1 tsp Fenugreek seeds / Vendayam- ½ tsp Curry leaves-1 spring Oil-1 tbsp Sugar to taste Salt to taste Lemon juice to taste Coriander leaves / Cilantro for garnishing
